1979 - At the end of the '70s Puch reaches the height of its fame and achieves its last important international victories. To face a season which promises to be even more difficult, the front fork becomes "banana" shaped and at the same time the geometry of the motorcycle also changes.
Anchor bolts favor a more extreme slant than the more modern gas shocks, increasing drivability and shock absorption.
Since the awesome wins by Osvaldo Scabucci it fell on Bruno Rebuli's shoulders to end the decade successfully by winning the Six Days on a 75cc.
The victory in the 75cc class at the German Six Days at Neukirchen (10/15 September) was the best result of the season, but also memorable the good results achieved by Luca Benedetti and Sergio Rota at the Valli Bergamasche of San Pellegrino Terme (19/20 May) who finished 1
st and 4th respectively in the Junior 75cc class.

The lack of an organizational structure at least equal to that of the big manufacturers, as far as personnel and resources were concerned, prevented the brand from ever really taking off and the motorcycles failed to make a big impression.
The general unease and negativity is underlined by the few placings, all at the back of the field, in qualifying. For example, at the Valli Bergamasche, we find Claudio Martinelli 6
th and Luciano Oldrati 10th in the 175cc class and Alessandro De Petri 9th in the 250cc division. The same fate awaits them at the Six Days, where out of almost 500 entries, only 8 Frigerio-Rotax qualify to start, none of which finished in a placing of importance.
