1982 – In 1982 SWM off road proposal was represented by the series RS GS TF3, powered 125, 175, 240, 250, 347 and 440 cc.
These were the models studied for the Six Days at Isola d’Elba, the colouring was reviewed, the orange remained for the frame, while the fork was grey and the plastic parts white and it featured also a long saddle which is the main feature of this series.
The Marzocchi piuma 35mm fork with forward gudgeoned was adopted for the front axle of the 125 and 175 while the stem adopted for the other capacities were sturdier that is 38 mm; the rear axle featured Marzocchi AG5 or Corte e Cosso Compact shock absorbers on a very forward position, wheels with Akront rims and conic hubs 140 mm Grimeca.
The 125 cc engine mounted a cylinder with chromed crossbar, five pourings and two boosters on the exhaust. The series was completed by the 50-75 and 80 MK GS, they were orange-white too and adopted the last Minarelli PS release with air or air/water, in the various equipments.
Suspensions could be: on the front 32 mm Marzocchi or 34 mm Forcella Italia, on the rear Marzocchi or Corte e Cosso. The brake were conic and 125mm.

The cross series was trusted to the new born RS MC TF6 125-250-440. The frame was the same as the TF3 one, but it featured a different big fork, a floating 140mm rear brake, with a  counter control on the other side of the frame. 38 mm Forcella Italia with hydraulic disc brake.
The colouring was completely orange, with a long saddle and a new design for the back mudguard.
A new single cylinder four stroke and four valves Rotax with a toothed belt distribution, called 350 and 506 was the new product.
It was prepared in two different colours, a yellow and blue one and a white and red one, with three different capacities a 350cc and two 500 cc (a more performing one and a more easy one), it was suitable for a wide range of users but not for competitions.
XN was produced starting from June and was updated further with a second series almost at the end of the year. This series adopted a front disc brake and a 160 drum yank-proof on the rear axle.
