The frames on the GSL were improved on the shock absorbing attack, with no upper little rods, on the bigger tube sections and with four big gussets on the bottom rods. If compared to the previous production, the new TF1 came in with a lot of differences, like Marzocchi ZT1 feather forks, with magnesium rafts and a V-shaped bottom plate, or the Corte and Cosso shock absorbers with separated tray on the rear axle.
The frame, with the same front structure with a doubled single girder, was changed on the rear axle, the shock absorbers were moved back to a vertical position and the big fork was brand-new “banana-shaped” designed, with a circular section; on the top part there were two big boxed gussets on which the shock absorbers were attached.
The new vertical placement of the shock-absorbers was roughly tested and directly trailed by Gualtiero Brissoni, they copied their Japanese competitors during the cross competitions and then they transferred this method to all mass-produced units.
The foot rests were higher and also more rational and lighter.
The engines, the aspiration and the exhausts of the inferior capacities were revised, the propellers were improved in the clutch by increasing the number of discs while three spheres were placed on the disc pusher to decrease the friction area.

A cylinder with five pourings, a cast iron crossbar and a Mikuni carburettor were mounted on the 125, while the diagrams of the 175 and 250 were revised and a new Dell’Orto carburettor was mounted as it was more suitable to the needs than the Bing’s one.
The introduction of a new capacity powered 347 cc (bore 82 mm and run 66mm) with traditional intake in the cylinder and lamellar in the carter and with a wider section of the frame tubes was something new for this season.
Guglielmo Andreini’s engine powered 367 was obtained by increasing by further 2 mm the bore with a Bing 36 carburettor which released 46 horsepower, and was supported by a 5-geared change.
There were other new components too: the filter cage was in plastic so it was more resistant and was printed with the new “rotation” system, silencers and mufflers for all capacities were new too.
Even the plastic over structure were newly designed, both the mudguards, which were more wrap-around, and the sides and the light holder half-mask.
