1952 – Puch's famous engines design with the cylinder sharing a common combustion chamber found favor among the best European riders.
At the Austrian Six Days at Bad Aussee the Dutch  Martin Den Haan won the 250 class on a Puch 250TFS, followed closely by another Puch ridden by the Italian Giovanni Bernardi, who won the bronze medal.
1954 – After a fair amount of individual successes, in 1954, at the British ISDT held at Llandrindod Wells, the entire team reaped an important achievement.
The Dutch national team, Holland B, made up of Martin Den Haan (Puch TF 250), Benny Jansema (Jawa 148) and Simon Schram (Maico 147) won the Silver Bowl.
1956 – Two years later, at the Six Days of Garmisch-Partenkirchen (17/22 September) the Puch MC 250 of the Dutch "Polder Boys" repeated the achievement, the same national team of two years before, once again received the Silver Bowl.

1960 – At the ISDT at Bad Aussee (Austria 19/24 September) Puch was chosen by the Austrian Motorcycle Federation as its representative. Puch was more than able to face the difficult challenge and with its powerful motorcycles at their peak, won the Trophy.
1961 – The early 60's ended the lifecycle of the split single cylinder, as it couldn't be developed any further. Puch moved forward to the more conventional single cylinder design which started an even more rewarding and successful phase.
Developmental progress suggested that the split single cylinder design should be sidelined, despite its many good points; it had the disadvantage of having everything double from the carburetor to the ignition, increasing costs as well as the possibility of breakdowns.
The manufacturers of Puch decided to rather concentrate all knowledge and resources on an engine, which although still a two stroke had only one cylinder. This was a simpler design with more growth potential.
The decision proved to be the right one and after several test drives in Austrian competitions during the mid 60's, Puch was once again a force to be reckoned with on the international scene; complete with an official team and a refurbished showroom.
