1956 – In this year it was the turn of the "Sbarazzino 100", a new four stroke single cyclinder 98cc - this too with pushrods and rockers – from this the famous and much appreciated Corsaro 125 series was developed in 1959 as a utility vehicle but destined to make history.

1961 – This year saw the introduction of the Corsaro Veloce version, a road bike with important sporting characteristics. It could be said it was the beginning of the Morini off-road story.
In fact from this model all the various versions created for competitive use were derived, at first somewhat ‘impromptu’ by the selling agents or respective owners and then directly by Morini from 1965 to 1972.
The first transformations of this fast road bike into an off-road machine took place more or less at the time of the initial sales to the public.
There were a few very interesting home-grown modifications like the wide handlebars, high mudguards, headlight protector and the exhaust twisted to a higher position – these were already enough to make the machine competitive.

1963 – In 1960 Giovanni Collina worked at the Morini factory and was most certainly one of the first to try out these changes. However, a big impulse arrived in 1963 when the well known Bergamo workshop run by Aldo Dall’Ara, who was already busy on the off-road competition version, became Morini concessionaire for the province of Bergamo. Besides being a very good rider, Aldo Dall’Ara (one of the protagonists of the ‘Valleys’ in the ‘40s) was a great mechanic and the father of another four riders at least as good as him: Franco, Luciano (deceased in 1959 at Seregno during a competition, riding a Lodola 175) , Sandro and Ezio.
Dall’Ara’s workshop, thanks to his experience gained in Italy and abroad, was capable of supplying complete race assistance as well as manging a team of riders capable of handling a challenging international circuit. The working relationship was intense and productive, also because the Bologna technicians created an off-road machine which was valid and competitive and went beyond those initial and tentatively-crafted experiments.
